I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015, and I became a board-certified orthopedic specialist in 2021. I have additional training in dry needling and pelvic floor physical therapy. My job is to meet you where you are and help you move forward. We will use a variety of tools and techniques to help you achieve your goals, whether that be playing with your children, running a marathon, maintaining your independence, or anything in between.
My belief and knowledge is that the human body is usually much stronger and more resilient than we know and certainly more so than we’ve been told. Resilience is simply the body’s ability to come back from injury or loss of function. It is not a weak pile of bones about to topple over at the slightest breeze, but becoming resilient and staying that way does take work.
I have education and experience in exercise physiology, personal training, coaching, strength training and power lifting, as well as competing as a collegiate track and field athlete. I graduated from physical therapy school in 2013 and went on to compete a 2 year manual therapy certification followed by becoming a board certified therapist in Orthopedics (2017). In 2019, I completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy which is a top designation only 2% of therapists nationwide accomplish.
My passion is to come alongside hurting people and work with them to find the best way forward without being the hindrance to them getting better. Since one size does not fit all, we’ll often accomplish the task through a variety of means.
